Zero Server-Side Storage of Academic Records

Unlike many web calculators, GPAtoECTS.com does NOT store or process your grades, CGPA, or course scores on any remote server. Every calculation using the Modified Bavarian Formula and ECTS conversion engine is executed strictly in your local browser runtime via client-side JavaScript.

2. Data We Process & Purpose

Server Logs: When accessing our website, your browser transmits technical access data (IP address, operating system, browser type, referral URL, and timestamp). This is processed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure server security and stability.
Local Storage / Session Storage: We utilize client-side storage only to remember user interface preferences—such as whether you dismissed the top intake announcement bar or your selected country preset. No personal identifiers are stored.
Affiliate Link Tracking: When you click outbound referral links to partner platforms (such as Expatrio or Coracle), anonymized referral tags are transmitted so partner providers recognize the origin of the referral under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
